Dating to 1907 just after the 1906 earthquake, The Savoy Tivoli hosted Truman Capote and Beat Generation poets including Allen Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac. Beach Blanket Babylon got its start on the Savoy Tivoli’s stage, which also hosted the Ramones, Jefferson Airplane, punk legends like The Mutants, and fabled jazz acts, including Jimmy Reed and Muddy Waters.
